✦ Why we chose it

Sherpa invented the soft-sided airline carrier category and still makes the most consistently approved option. The spring-wire frame means it won't crush under the seat, and the lambskin liner genuinely reduces anxiety.

The gold standard for airline-approved cat carriers. Fits under most airline seats, has a spring-wire frame that collapses for storage, and comes with a faux-lambskin liner that keeps cats calm on long journeys.

Pros

  • ✓Consistently approved by major airlines
  • ✓Spring frame won't collapse under seat
  • ✓Lambskin liner reduces anxiety

Cons

  • ✗Mesh can snag on rough surfaces
  • ✗Larger cats may feel cramped on long flights
