Dog Food & Nutrition
A well-supported everyday puppy formula for most breed sizes
✦ Why we chose it
It combines a clear growth-stage purpose, manufacturer feeding research, broad availability, and a formula many puppy households can use as a practical starting point.
A complete-and-balanced growth formula that combines crunchy kibble with shredded pieces. It includes DHA from fish oil and is backed by an AAFCO feeding-test statement for growth. For puppies expected to reach 70 pounds or more, compare the label with a dedicated large-breed growth formula and confirm the choice with your veterinarian.
Pros
Cons
SmartPaws Score
8.9 / 10
The large bag is expensive up front but competitive among research-backed premium puppy foods.
High retailer satisfaction and broad availability reduce the friction of staying consistent.
The product carries a growth-stage feeding-test statement and is produced by a company with established nutrition resources.
Appropriate as a general puppy option; giant and large-breed growth, allergies, or medical needs require a more specific decision.
