✦ Why we chose it

It is one of the few premium slickers whose manufacturer specifically identifies both Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds as suitable breeds.

The large Big G uses densely packed 27 mm stainless-steel pins to reach through long or dense coats, lift loose undercoat, and work through tangles with fewer passes. The curved head and flexible cushion help the pins follow the body. Brush in sections with a light hand and stop if the skin becomes irritated.

Pros

  • ✓Manufacturer specifically lists Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds
  • ✓Long pins reach through dense coat
  • ✓Ergonomic design reduces repeated passes

Cons

  • ✗Premium price
  • ✗Technique and gentle pressure matter
