✦ Why we chose it

The only camera system that covers your dog's indoor hangout and your backyard simultaneously — with AI that knows the difference between your dog and a delivery driver.

The Arlo Pro 5S 2K is the top-rated multi-camera system for pet owners who need both indoor and outdoor coverage. Each camera delivers 2K HDR video, color night vision, and a built-in spotlight — and the Arlo Secure app uses AI to distinguish between pets, people, and vehicles, so you only get alerts that matter. The 2-pack covers your living room and backyard simultaneously, and additional cameras can be added to the same app for whole-home coverage. Weatherproof (IP55), dual-band Wi-Fi, and rechargeable battery means no wiring required.

Pros

  • ✓Indoor + outdoor in one system, one app
  • ✓AI pet detection cuts false alerts dramatically
  • ✓Expandable to whole-home coverage
  • ✓No wiring — mounts anywhere in minutes

Cons

  • ✗Full AI features require Arlo Secure subscription ($2.99/mo per camera)
  • ✗Battery life varies by activity level (1–6 months)
